Filed at 4:58 a.m. ET TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- Iran has temporarily released a prominent pro-reform activist detained for suspected involvement in the country's postelection turmoil. Mohsen Mirdamadi was released on bail late Wednesday, his son Ali said. Mirdamadi is the leader of Iran's biggest reformist party, the Islamic Iran Participation Front. He had been in prison since June 13, the day after Iran's disputed presidential elections. The official IRNA news agency reported Thursday that authorities also freed on bail filmmaker Mohammad Rasoulof, journalist Ali Akbar Montajabi and female activist Farzaneh Qassemi.
